Ikuo Oyama
was a Japanese politician. He became the target of assassination by a Japanese military clique. He fled Japan in 1933 to the United States, where he got a job at Northwestern University at its library and political science department. He returned to Japan following the Japanese surrender. His colleagues begged him not to accept the Stalin Prize when he was nominated, saying he would just be a Soviet tool. Some of his oldest friends abandoned him when he accepted it. == See also ==
